President Obama's Inauguration was indeed an amazing experience. I'm really glad I bit the bullet and just came. I figure, if people can trek from across the country, even the *world*, I can hop my behind on the train and go for it too. The train ride was only one hour to get there, and then we left right after the ceremony so the subway was clear. Hells if I was staying any later though.

I've never seen such a spectacle. The amount of people was incredible. I'm not sure I will ever see something like that again. The atmosphere was really surreal. Everyone was just so happy and hopeful. My fear was that people would be douche bags, but quite the contrary. We were all just so happy and peaceful. That's the type of humanity I can deal with. One lady collapsed and everyone came over to see that she was okay instead of just trampling her and moving on. I saw a lot of tears too, happy tears of course.

And yes, it was pretty cold. It really helped that we were walking a lot, but once we got situated on the mall, the concrete was cold so naturally my feet slowly started to feel like they'd fall off. *sigh* what and amazing and historic day.

New VK AMV - Vampire Confections
Hi and holas minna-san!

Hope to brighten the mood a bit for a few fans. This is my entry to the amv.org Valentine's Day Multi-editor project. However, since I doubt that all you VK fans would get to see it, I decided to just upload the entry solo. Hope you like ^_^!! There are many pairings here, but I guess Zeki gets a bit of spotlight? It's all supposed to be non-serious though ~_^.

Since I love this series so effin' much, I decided to use it for my new amv. And once VK Guilty has aired, you'd better believe I'll be working on another for it. Anyway, hope you like it! Oh man, how silly of me! How could I have forgotten to post my new amv here? *face palm* Anyway, here it is to Blood+. I'm entering it for Otakon so wish me luck to make the finals!!

Katsuscon experience:
First off, I will start off by saying that "JOHNNY YONG BOSCH IS AWESOME!!!"

THURSDAY

We all decided to check in Thursday. We got really lucky because we were on the first floor!! You have no idea how convenient it is to NOT have to wait for the elevators PACKED with people. As for our group, we naturally had our locals, but then we had people arriving from all over (Ohio, Boston, New York). It was cool because I got to meet up with several friends from before and meet new ones. Pre-reg was available for pick up Thursday. You know what I'll never understand though. I just don't get why people feel the need to line up for pre-reg when it will practically take no time at all to get your badge. Katsucon is roughly about 1/3 the size of Otakon, so waiting forever and a day just didn't seem necessary, and yet...there was a line of about 20 like an hour and a half before pre-reg opened. I just don't get people sometimes... But yeah, we pretty much ate, came back to the hotel, picked up our badges and waited for everyone to arrive. This was when I learned that my fave voice actor, Johnny Yong Bosch was going to be in attendance!! I've been a fan of his since I was like 10 so needless to say, I was pretty excited. I just bought a new MacBook Pro about a week ago since my 5 year old compaq phails at life, so didn't really want to take it out of the house yet. So I decided to bring lug the compaq along. Me and my buds decided to peruse through my gallery of pics (mostly sasusaku with some naruhina and sasunaru sprinkled in there). I tried to get online because internet was free in the lobby, but it was to no avail because the compaq just wasn't trying to work right. I'd been up since 6am, so I turned in sorta of early at around 1am-ish.

Best Otakon Yet!
So, yesterday I returned from Otakon. It was my 3rd one in a row. I have to say honestly that this was my fave con yet! It had a rocky start though with me actually getting to Baltimore. I absolutely HATE DRIVING IN THAT CITY!!! It was filled with extremely rude, aggressive drivers and retarded streets. You'd run into several "one way" streets that wouldn't allow you to be able to turn around if you needed to. Driving in DC is no picnic either but I must say that I prefer driving here to there. Thankfully I got there safely.

I totally loved our hotel. The room was huge and the bed was extremely comfy. I actually saw Allen Iverson (famous basketball player) in the lobby! I'm sure he was looking at people in costumes walking by going "what the fuck kind of twilight zone have I walked into?" But anyway, while there were only 3 of us this time in the room, it was pretty nice being able to shower when you needed to as well as not worry about how messy the room would be later on. The pre-reg line on Thursday is getting better and better. There was no line outside this year that we had to wait through. We simply went right in and got our badges. Makes me understand even less the stupid idiots that camp outside for hours until the doors open. Pre-reg didn't start until 5pm and yet people were waiting out there since 11am!

Next came the official Day 1 of the con. We went to bed pretty early the night before so when we woke up we got there around 9:30am. We didn't do much at the time, just going in and out of panels and viewings, but around noon I met up with Phoenixblood. It was really awesome to finally meet her in person. It's so funny how different it is to speak with someone in person vs online. It's like it really hits you that "hey, this is a real person!" We ended up hanging out for about 95% of the con together. When we first met up, we ended up calling Crystal Renee so that she could tell me what happened in the latest Naruto chapter. She told me "you're not going to be happy" then proceeded to tell me how Peebs had translated the latest Naruto chapter's cover page. ( Read more... )

It's official. There is NO level of smiley or words to truly convey my level of fangasm
It's been roughly 3 hours since seeing the new Naruto chapter 347 and I am just NOW able to make some coherent thought (key word is SOME). Kishi, I swear you sly bastard, you. You know how to keep us coming back. That's for damn sure!

I see his message to the yaoi masses. "YOU CAN'T DO IT LIKE ME, BITCHES!!" And you know what, he's absolutely right. NO amount of fanon material has EVER had the effect on me that this just did. I mean seriously. CANON yaoi! No mistakin' it.

I seriously can't believe he threw ALL innuendo out the window this time and just went for it. Man that dude's got balls. And SEME Sasuke at that. My personal opinion to Naruto's reaction was that he was simply mad that it wasn't HIM under Sasuke. And Sakura! You closet yaoi fangirl you. Welcome to the community! We're a fun, crazy bunch, but our men are pretty! You've got the hang of it aaaaalready. Guess it's safe to say she still finds Sasuke to be the hott piece of ass he always was (she's got eyes so she should).

Sai's reaction was funny as all hell. "Ah it's me and Sasuke-kun." As if it was nothing out of the ordinary. Then of course he had like NO reaction to the yuri.

Current Mood: excited

OMFG Naruto Fangirl OVERLOAD!!!!
Now you guys know I don't write in my journal unless it's something good.

OMFG. If anyone's seen the new ep of Naruto you'd understand how I am beside myself right now in excitement. Fangasm isn't the word I'll tell you that right now! What a HELL of a surprise Studio Pierrot pulled. I wasn't expecting it THIS soon, but of course I'll take it! Sasuke looks so incredibly sexy. And OMG the voices, the music, the animation are all on point! My SasuNaru, SasuSaku senses are OFF THE CHARTS!!! I LOVE pleasant surprises.

And of course I am THRILLED with the manga. Just goes to show what a lot of us believed all along. Sasuke is not beyond the point of redemption. I hope he never gets to that point. My nerves. My nerves. A couple days ago I was so ancy because I needed to see more Sasuke. Well, I'm sure it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that's NOT an issue for me anymore. I can't believe it's HERE!! We've waited sooooo long and now it's HERE and it's AWESOME!!! I would have just been happy with new Naruto PERIOD. But to add Sasuke too?! Icing on the effin cake. I suppose the manga had to keep up with the excitement as best they could with the anime and boy did they do a great job!

It's been a while my lovely journal! However, I've got a new series to gush over
This is for all of the Blood+ fans out there. Be forewarned that this will be a LAP but I hope you read anyway:) . I'm probably late but I've been incredibly busy lately and just recently began to get into the show. I watched it all in a span of a week (though it doesn't touch my FMA personal 2-day record). I finished it off yesterday and let me tell you, I've never seen a more satisfying anime. It had pretty much everything that I look for in a show. Action, Drama, Romance, and had the nerve to cap it off with vampires (creatures that I have been interested since before I can even remember now). I look back on the earlier eps and compare it with the end and it really seems like a totally different show. Everyone was able to grow. Saya wasn't AS kick-ass as I was expecting. However, I am an Alucard FFF(forever faithful fangirl) so he sets the bar pretty damn high. She was still pretty cool though.

Saw the FMA movie
I was willing to deal with what BONES did, so overall the movie was pretty good. I had some major problems, but I was fair about it. They just poured salt on the wounds though with the post-movie letters from Ed and Al in the new Animedia scans. Turns out Noah and Ed are living together. I am wondering where the hell Al's living. Furthermore, BONES sucks!!! I am an EdWin fan and so it was really hurtful to see that not only did BONES split them up, but they gave him a girlfriend too. That pisses me off because people dedicated well over a year to supporting that couple (and years if you count the manga), yet some mary sue out of the blue gets to come in and have him?

But I guess things have to be put into perspective. Ed and Winry most likely weren't going to be JUST for each other. It's rare in most lives that you end up having only one significant other. Ed will have girlfriends and Winry will have boyfriends. But no amount of significant others in the world will ever have the same bond that they've got. I think this letter showed it. Even though he currently is with someone, it's still hard for him to write to her and know what to say because it seems like he's not saying what he truly wants to. He can't work around what he really wants to tell her (and yeah, it's a pretty big thing). It'd be too hard based on the circumstances. She is different for Ed and she will be with him every moment of everyday when he uses his left leg and right arm. He knows that too. But he's gotta move on. He's gotta live. And so does she. And when they meet again to be together, they'll have hott, passionate, [i]experienced[/i] sex. ;)

And on a more somber note, being that BONES wanted to incorporate real history into the movie, I'll conjure up a theory that Noah and her friends don't return. They [i]are[/i] gypsies in Germany afterall. Either they escape from the country or are captured and history takes its horrible, disgusting course.

You'd better believe I'll be writing a fic on this one.

Vampire Hunter D Vol. 2
Read the book. Here's my review. Beware of slight spoilers.

I really enjoyed this book as well as the first! I felt a whole new
atmosphere in this one than the first book which is a good thing. I
liked the book cover for the volume one better. However, the
illustrations I felt were better than the ones we see in the first
book. D's quite a gorgeous specimen indeed. I liked how it was much
more mystery-like allowing me to unravel some clues on my own. It
didn't cause me to lose the sense of action and adventure either. I
liked Lina's character. She had to deal with a lot of turmoil, but
still acted like a typical love-struck 17 year old. I LOVED D being
the romantic one. I loved him trying to figure out Lina and why she
had the effect on him that she did. The erotic situations were kind
of gross, but it got the point across to make my skin crawl and hate
characters. I noticed some stuff out of this book is what we see in
the Bloodlust film:

The first account was when how Lina talked about the rain making one
sentimental. In bloodlust Leila and D have a moment in the rain
where she states this.

The second was when D was caught in the dimension. He had to deal
with the situation somewhat differently in Bloodlust though.

Then we see the hallucinations. D sees the woman in a white dress
with long black hair in front of her face as to not reveal her
identity. I think it was implied that it was his mother like in
Bloodlust.

Nikolas Flamel
Ok, so I hear that in the other world Ed meets someone named Nikolas Flamel. This man has apparently found some type of way to create the Philosopher's Stone in that world (either he made it or knows what needs to be done to make it). Flamel also has a wife. Someone brought up an interesting theory at fm-a.com that Flamel ("FLAME"l) could be Roy's counterpart. What do you guys think? I think it'd be great if it were true. And of course his wife I would think and hope to be Riza's counterpart.

I think this could also work extremely well if I were making a fic based on the plot of the movie. It’d be from Riza’s POV naturally, and probably just after he left.

This song has tension like you wouldn’t believe. You can easily visualize Royai here. I think that this could be Riza’s POV when she sees Roy again for the first time.

This also seems fitting to them. The song itself doesn’t sound as romantic, but it’s still beautiful and has a lot of character. I’d put this from Roy’s POV. This seems like it’s before they separated and before he thought about it.

I have a pretty strong feeling about this one. I think this could be from both of their POVs. It also seems like it’d work best for the plot of the movie. It could be their first few days or weeks away from each other.
